THE GREAT BEDTIME STORY
PAJAMA DRIVE

Dear Parents,
Last year, caring classrooms across the country donated almost 18,000 pairs of pajamas and Scholastic Book Clubs matched every single pair with a new book.

This year, Scholastic Book Clubs and the nonprofit Pajama Program have joined forces again to bring us The Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive. The mission of this drive is to provide 25,000 children in need brand-new pajamas and books—these are children who live in group homes, shelters, foster care, and orphanages.

Our 3 DESTINY classrooms have decided to join together to help these children in need. Together we can help The Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive reach its new goal of 25,000 pajamas.

If you and your child are able to participate, please have your child bring in a new pair of pajamas to school by Friday December 10th.

Here are some simple guidelines for the pajamas:
·        Pajamas must be brand-new.
·        Pajamas in all sizes are needed—from newborn to adult.
·        Pajamas must be in complete sets or nightgowns.
·        Pajamas in children’s sizes must be manufactured as pajamas—
this ensures that they are flame-retardant and safe.

Thank you for helping us share the gift of a good night’s sleep and a sweet bedtime story.

Miss Connelly, Mrs. Kempke, Mrs. O’Mahony & Miss Bartkowski

PS: You can find out more about the drive and the program at www.scholastic.com/pjdrive.

Room 22 Cares

Operation Room 22 Cares was a great success with our 3rd grade friends. We sent 7 boxes overseas to 3 different soldiers.  We can’t wait to hear back from them.
